Typical duties include:Installing and replacing pipes (supply, drain, vent) Fitting sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, and faucets Clearing clogs in drains, toilets, and sewer lines Repairing leaks in pipes, valves, and fixtures Installing and servicing water heaters (tank and tankless) Connecting dishwashers, washing machines, ice makers, and garbage disposals Installing or replacing shutoff valves, pressure regulators, and backflow preventers Testing water pressure and checking for leaks after work Running new lines for remodels, additions, and new construction Working on sewer laterals, cleanouts, and sometimes septic connections Repairing or replacing sump pumps and ejector pumps Winterizing pipes and thawing frozen lines (seasonal) Installing gas lines for water heaters, boilers, or appliances where licensed Reading plans and following plumbing and building codes Pulling permits and meeting inspections when required.
